- This file contains the detailed 8-frame recognition trace of a 6-level Sparsey model. - The nomenclature "[0, 0]" near the beginning of the first line means the 0th test snippet and the 0th frame of that snippet. The simulation from which this trace was taken had a total of 30 8-frame snippets. - for each of the five levels that contain macs (L1-L5), there is one line shown for each mac that is active at that level on the relevant frame. - the nomenclature "[ 2 - 2: 2/ 4]" means: a) that the mac would activate if between 2 and 2 (in other words, exactly two) of its input features were active; b) that on the relevant frame, exactly two input features were active; and c) that the mac's bottom-up receptive field (U-RF) consisted of four features. If the mac's subjacent level consists of macs, then this means the U-RF consisted of four subjacent macs. If the mac's subjacent level consists of pixels, which is true only for the L1 macs, then this means that the U-RF consists of four pixels (though as one can see, all L1 mac U-RFs consist of 16 pixels. - the MCHs reports the number of multiple competing hypotheses (SDCs), i.e., hypotheses tied for maximal likelihood, present in the mac on the relevant frame. - RA is the recognition accuracy; it is the fraction of the correct SDC that is actually active. In this simulation, the test set = train set, so we know what the correct code (SDC) is for each mac on each frame. - the actual codes, then follow. We show the set of Q winners in the mac where Q is the number of CMs comprising the mac. - the last field says whether the mac is frozen or not. A mac is frozen when the fraction of its afferent weights in any one of its three afferent matrices (U, H, or D) crosses a saturation threshold.
